Alla domanda 'hai un fidanzato?' rispondere 'either' non ha senso. Sicuro che fosse la risposta a quella domanda? Perché di solito in chat le risposte arrivano un pezzo per volta e può capitare che mentre tu le hai inviato una nuova domanda lei ti stia ancora rispondendo alla vecchia.

"Either" può significare tante cose ad es. "anche/neanche" a seconda se la domanda è affermativa o negativa, oppure "entrambi/nessuno dei due", sempre a seconda di come viene posta la domanda.



In generale "either" si usa quando ci sono due opzioni, due cose tra cui scegliere oppure dove l'una esclude l'altra.



Per cui sono d'accordo con chi ti ha detto che è abbastanza insolita come risposta...probabilmente nel corso della conversazione tu le hai fatto più domande e quando alla fine le hai chiesto se aveva un fidanzato lei ti ha risposto "either" cioè "neanche/neppure". Ma interpretala così solo se alle precedenti domande lei ti aveva risposto con dei "no".



Secondo me cmq lei non voleva risponderti chiaramente, infatti poi ti dice "ti piaccio? e se la ride...il resto non lo capisco proprio..."to label" significa "etichettare"...ma detto così non ha molto senso... bisognerebbe sentire tutta la conversazione per capire cosa voleva dire, mi dispiace.
